Chicago GK Cop named MISL Player of Week
Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Chicago Riot goalkeeper Ante Cop made 22 saves, had an assist and scored the game-winning goal to lead the Chicago Riot to a 14-12 win over the Baltimore Blast on Sunday, earning Cop Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week.
Cop's game-winning three-pointer came with 23 seconds remaining to lift Chicago toward its first home win of the season.
Cop also assisted on Bato Radoncic's first goal at the 10:32 mark of the second quarter.
The game also marked the first start in goal of the season for Cop, who preserved the win in the final seconds with a save on Baltimore's Giuliano Celenza.
