Athens, Greece (Sports Network)-
South Korean Moon Dae Sung won the men's taekwondo gold medal in the over 80kg weight class with a knockout of Alexandros Nikolaidis of Greece.
Moon kicked his opponent in the head in the first round and Nikolaidis didn't regain consciousness for a couple of minutes. Moon, the 1999 world champion, repeated South Korea's success in the over 80kg classification, as Kim Kyong Hun won gold in Sydney.
However, when Nikolaidis came to his senses, Moon was right there at his side and the two athletes embraced. Moon then raised his opponent's hand and led him on a semi-victory lap.
Pascal Gentil of France won the bronze medal by defeating Ibrahim Kamal of Jordan.
