NOTES: The USGA Senior Amateur Championship is open to amateurs, age 55 and older, who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 7.4. The deadline for entries was Aug. 15. The USGA accepted 2,260 entries for the 2012 USGA Senior Amateur. A total of 2,162 entries were accepted in 2011. The record for entries is 2,498, set in 2005. Last year, Louis Lee defeated Philip Pleat, 1-up in the championship match at Kinloch Golf in Virginia. Lee became the second-youngest Senior Amateur champion with a 4-foot par putt on the 18th hole.
