The Canadian Tour remains in Ontario for the third straight tournament in the
province at The Great Waterway Classic in Gananoque. This is the final event
for 2012 on the Canadian Tour. The top three players on the money list are in
the field - Matt Hill, Michael Gligic and Cory Renfrew.
Hill currently leads the money list by $5,500 over Gligic. Renfrew is $1,813
behind Gligic for second place. Hill, Gligic, Renfrew and Joe Panzeri are the
only players on tour with two top-5 finishes this season. The top two spots on
the Order of Merit are automatically qualified into the second stage of PGA
Tour Q-School.
The tournament is being held at Smuggler's Glen. Boyd Barr designed the
course, which opened for play in 2005. The course was nominated for "Best New
Course in Canada" for 2006 by Golf Digest.
