Angel Pagan, CF, SFG8/23/2014 1:52:00 PM
Description: Giants center fielder Angel Pagan (calf) is in the lineup Saturday against Washington. Insight: Pagan went 2-for-5 before leaving Friday\'s game with calf tightness, but it was a precautionary move. He\'s leading off and playing center field.
Xander Bogaerts, SS, BOSCold8/23/2014 1:01:00 PM
Description: Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts left Friday\'s game after getting hit in the helmet by a pitch and he isn\'t in the lineup Saturday. Insight: The Red Sox are waiting for his concussion test results. Bogaerts is 7-for-66 (.106) in August and 97-for-435 (.223) on the season. Believe it or not, he was actually hitting .299 with an .839 OPS on June 7, but he\'s gone a pitiful 31-for-214 (.145) since then. Brock Holt is starting at shortstop Saturday.

Sankey: this year's Ball?
In 2013, a rookie running back drafted in the second round seemingly had no competition for the starting job, but he ended up losing the gig to an uninspiring veteran and was a backup... Full Story

Montee Ball, RB, DEN8/23/2014 1:18:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) will make his preseason debut Saturday. Insight: Ball made a quick recovery from an appendectomy and he\'s ready for action. Big things are expected of him after less-talented Knowshon Moreno was a fantasy star in this offense a year ago.
 Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, OAK8/23/2014 12:05:00 PM
Description: Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew broke off a 40-yard touchdown during Friday\'s preseason game at Green Bay. Insight: Jones-Drew rushed for 3.4 yards per carry with the Jaguars last season, but he did still have five gains of at least 20 yards and two of 40 or more. With Darren McFadden\'s health always in question, MJD could turn into an RB2 this season.

 Andrew Wiggins, G, MIN8/23/2014 2:52:00 PM
Description: The three-team trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers is complete and 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins is now a member of Minnesota. Insight: Wiggins\' fantasy value gets a nice boost from the trade, as he\'ll have to carry a much larger offensive burden than he would have had in Cleveland. Minnesota\'s starting lineup to begin the season will likely include Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin, Wiggins, Thaddeus Young and Nikola Pekovic.
 Kevin Love, F, MIN8/22/2014 4:34:00 PM
Description: reports the Cleveland Cavaliers will officially trade No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins and former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett in a three-team trade for Kevin Love. The Timberwolves will receive 76ers power forward Thaddeus Young as part of the trade as well. The deal will be finalized at midnight on Saturday after Wiggins officially signs his rookie contract. Insight: Love\'s fantasy value takes a slight hit as it is unlikely he can maintain last year\'s 26.1 points per game average playing alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. But his potential on the offensive and defensive glass playing with the King is tremendous. Combine that with the fact Love had a career high in assists per game last year (4.4), he remains one of the best options at his position. Wiggins and Bennett look to be quality mid-round targets.

 Steve Mason, G, PHI8/21/2014 1:56:00 PM
Description: Flyers goalie Steve Mason (finger) returned to the ice this week after not skating the past three weeks according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Insight: He suffered a broken pinky finger while playing ball hockey, but Mason should be ready for training camp. He posted a 33-18 record with a 2.50 goals against average in 61 games last year.
Clarke MacArthur, LW, OTT8/21/2014 1:48:00 PM
Description: Left wing Clarke MacArthur and the Senators have come to terms on a five-year extension. Insight: MacArthur went on to tell the Ottawa Sun that he will not change the way he plays the game. "Just because I\'ve got a five-year deal, that doesn\'t mean I need to change a whole lot. I kind of want to play the same game. I want to play good in both ends." MacArthur had 24 goals and 31 assists in his first season in Ottawa last year.
