Description: Yankees DH Travis Hafner has gone just 4-for-27 (.148) against Angels starter Jered Weaver, who will start Sunday.
Insight: To make matters worse, Hafner is 0-for-23 over his last six games and his average is down to .219 for the year. Get him out of the lineup immediately.
Description: Cleveland 1B/3B Mark Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and two strikeouts Saturday against the Nationals.
Insight: Reynolds had not homered in 13 straight games and came in hitting .174 with two homers and 43 strikeouts in 115 at-bats over his last 33 games.

Insight: Dunn has crushed five homers over his last six games and six over his last 10. He has 18 on the year, and his .182 average should be on the rise once his luck turns a little. The DH has just a .177 BABIP.
Description: Mariners DH Kendrys Morales (back) was out of the lineup Wednesday, his second consecutive missed start, and is questionable for Friday's game against Oakland.
Insight: The team doesn't think it's serious and after a day off on Thursday should be ready to get back in the lineup for the weekend. Morales is hitting .292 with eight homers and 35 RBI.
Description: Toronto DH Edwin Encarnacion has not been fazed by the dominance of Texas starter Yu Darvish.
Insight: Encarnacion is 5-for-10 with two homers and four RBI against Darvish, though he went 0-for-2 against him with two walks and one strikeout on June 8. Encarnacion is hitting .266 with 18 homers, 53 RBI and 40 runs.
Description: Rays DH Luke Scott has a nice matchup Thursday versus Ervin Santana of the Royals.
Insight: Scott is 8-for-21 (.381) with two round-trippers and six RBIs against Santana. If you've been holding onto him despite his injury and .207 average, today would be a good day to get him in the lineup.
Description: Royals DH Billy Butler is one of the few hitters in baseball who performs well against Tigers ace Justin Verlander. Butler is 23-for-55 (.418) with two homers, 10 RBI and a 1.075 OPS against Verlander.
Insight: Butler is finally getting his average up where it belongs after a slow start. This matchup should continue his upward push.
Description: Yankees DH Travis Hafner should be sitting firmly on the bench when the Yankees face Bartolo Colon as he's a career .056 hitter (1-for-18) against the A's right-hander.
Insight: Hafner homered a couple of time in Cleveland against his old teammates, but was just 2-for-12 in the three-game set with Seattle. Avoid this matchup.
Description: Rays DH Luke Scott is a career 0-for-11 with five strikeouts against Boston lefty Jon Lester.
Insight: When Scott can get 400-plus at-bats, he produced 25-to-30 home runs, but injuries have shortcircuited him over the past two seasons. He does most of his damage against right-handers and this matchup should be avoided.

Description: Red Sox DH David Ortiz is a prime candidate for rest on Saturday in the game Angels left-hander C.J. Wilson pitches as he's just a career .077 hitter (1-for-13) against him.
Insight: Ortiz has 11 homers and 42 RBI in just 42 games this season, and he is hitting .325 with a 21/20 K/BB, so it would be hard to take him out of the lineup, but don't expect much.
Description: Tigers DH Victor Martinez drilled a two-run homer Thursday in a win over Tampa Bay.
Insight: Thursday was Martinez's first multi-hit game since May 27th. Despite his struggles (.231 AVG, .610 OPS), the slugger is still on pace for 81 RBI. Only four catcher-eligible players did that in 2012 (Buster Posey, Miguel Montero, Joe Mauer and Matt Wieters).
Description: Detroit DH Victor Martinez should be in store for a solid fantasy day Thursday against Roberto Hernandez.
Insight: Martinez carries a .417 lifetime average versus the Rays righthander. The Tigers slugger hasn't had a great season (.226, 3 HR, 26 RBI) but we're confident he'll be able to produce on Thursday.
Description: Yankees DH Travis Hafner has homered in his last two games.
Insight: Hafner sat out Tuesday with left-hander Scott Kazmir on the hill, but he returned to the lineup Wednesday and went deep for the 10th time this season.
