Pepperell wins playoff for Challenge Tour title

Pleneuf, France (Sports Network) - Eddie Pepperell managed par on the first playoff hole Sunday to defeat Jeppe Huldahl and win the Open Cotes d'Armor Bretagne.

Pepperell had carded a two-under 68 to finish regulation at three-under par 277. Huldahl managed a 70 to settle at the same score.

The pair then returned to the par-four 18th hole, where Huldahl drove his tee shot into the bushes. The Dane wasn't able to save par, while Pepperell got to the green in two, then two-putted for the victory.

The English Pepperell, 21, earned his first Challenge Tour victory. Huldahl was denied his second win on tour.

Peter Baker (70) finished alone in third at minus-one, while three players shared fourth at even-par -- Mikko Korhonen (70), Ignacio Elvira (72) and Carlos Aguilar (75).
