Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Julian Mavunga finished with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds to power the Miami-Ohio RedHawks over the Ohio University Bobcats, 76-66, in a Mid-American Conference tussle at Millett Hall.
Nick Winbush added 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the win for the RedHawks (16-15, 11-5 MAC), who also saw 15 points from Quinten Rollins.
Ivo Baltic scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards to lead the way for Ohio (17-14, 9-7), while D.J. Cooper tallied 14 points in the losing effort. Tommy Freeman registered 13 points as well for the Bobcats, and DeVaughn Washington chipped in 12 points to go with nine rebounds.
The Bobcats were limited to just 34.8 percent from the field during the opening period of play, helping the RedHawks to a 36-26 halftime edge.
The RedHawks then knocked down 24-of-27 at the charity stripe over the final 20 minutes to earn the 10-point win.
With the victory, the RedHawks assured themselves a No. 3 seed in next week's MAC Tournament in Cleveland.
